During a previous no be beans session, someone asked a question that made the room go quiet and it made me pause too. I seriously had to admit that I have not always been the best version of myself in friendship.
Sometimes I got busy. Sometimes defensive. Sometimes deep in my feelings, and other times… just plain petty.
It was quite humbling to realise that being a “good” person does not automatically make you a good friend.
Thankfully, being a better friend is not about perfection. It is about noticing, apologising, and adjusting (whatever that may look like for you)
Growth in friendship starts with self-awareness.
Question:
If someone described how they experience you as a friend, what do you think they would say?
