After The Apology

Hey friend,

Conflict changes the atmosphere of a friendship.
Even after apologies are made and the ‘sorrys’ are said, things can still feel sensitive.
I am learning that saying “I am sorry about what I said or did” is just the beginning, not the entire formula for rebuilding trust.

After conflict, people become careful.
They start to listen and feel a little differently.
They need time to figure out if what happened was a one-off or a pattern.

Safety returns slowly.
It returns through consistency.
It returns through actions.
It returns when both people are willing to look at themselves honestly.

What I am also learning is that a mended friendship may not look like what it used to be. And while that can feel unfamiliar or even uncomfortable at first, it can grow into something better. Something wiser, more honest, and more real than before.

Question:
What does rebuilding safety post-conflict look like for you now?
