Do we really know our friends?

Hey friend,

So, two days in a row, while we were playing The Friendship Deck, I found out new things about friends I have known for over twenty years. It caught me off guard, not in a bad way, but in a “wow, I had no idea” kind of way.

It made me realise how easy it is to stay put in knowing who people were and forget to keep learning who they are now.

We all change. Through seasons, experiences, little self-discoveries, a lot of it is happening subtly, often more quietly than we think or would like.

I am learning that friendships need curiosity. Of self and of our friends. Maybe we should start moving from “How are you?” to “What do you think has changed in you lately?”

Depth is not accidental. It is intentional.

With Love,
