Hey friend,
Two days ago, a friend and I were talking about how important intentionality is to her, and the conversation made me realise that lately, I have been thinking less about resolutions and much more about clarity, especially how clarity impacts our friendships.
When I was unclear, I did many things out of habit.
I overextended myself.
I overshared.
I explained away discomfort.
But when clarity entered, things began to change.
In a new season, we tend to make decisions based on what happened in the past. We want to prevent certain things from ever happening again, so our strategy revolves around being more cautious or guarded.
But what if the real issue was not what happened, but who it happened with?
Clarity helps us tell the difference.
It helps us notice what brings peace and what creates tension. It helps us recognise feelings we no longer want and areas where we need to do better. Even in friendships that are great, it allows us to observe ourselves and others more honestly and discern more wisely.
Clarity gives us better information to make better decisions.
Question:
What is clarity asking you to notice in your friendships this season?
