What If You are Doing The Same Thing?

Hey friend,

Recently, I had a humbling realisation.

There is something I had been blaming someone for. Continuously. I saw it so clearly in them and I complained about it within myself and to people. It has been really frustrating.

And then, all of a sudden, I noticed something.

I was doing the same thing.
I had actually been doing it for a while but I did not realise.

It was sobering.

Clarity does not only show us what others are doing. Oftentimes, it highlights our own actions.

This does not mean that no complaint is valid. But sometimes, what irritates us most can reveal areas we need self-awareness.

Healthy friendship requires the humility to ask ourselves uncomfortable questions.
Am I extending the understanding I expect?
Am I addressing in myself what I am so quick to notice in someone else?
